Rufas Dilshan Gracion, affectionately known as Rufy, is the founder of LeadMeChaperone, a platform dedicated to exploring and sharing insights on leadership. With over 13 years of experience in the airlines, travel, and tourism industry, Rufy has honed his skills in managing contact centres and BPO processes, leading teams, and driving operational excellence.


Education and Professional Qualifications

Rufy holds a Post Graduate Diploma (PGD) in Strategic Management and Leadership from the European Nations Campus, a program regulated by OTHM-UK. His continuous professional development includes a range of certifications and training sessions from BCD Travel, Scicom Education Group, IAA - International Aviation Academy, and others. These sessions cover various topics such as leadership skills, customer service, compliance, and security awareness.


Work Experience

Rufy's extensive career includes roles such as Assistant Manager Operations at Scicom Lanka Pvt Ltd, Senior Corporate Travel Consultant at BCD Travel APAC Service Centre, and Team Leader at Hellocorp (Pvt) Ltd. His responsibilities have spanned supervising operations, managing customer service processes, and leading teams for projects like the Sri Lankan Airlines Global Contact Centre and the Ministry of Health Covid-19 Call Centre.

Beyond his professional achievements, Rufy is deeply involved in various leadership and extra-curricular activities. He has served as President, Secretary, and Coordinator for the Archdiocesan (Colombo) Tamil Youth Apostolate, and has been an active member of several church-based youth organizations.
